Similar to the previous vintage, this wine was split into two lots after the ferment was complete. 10% of the wine spent 4 months in new oak barriques while the balance remained in the tank on gross yeast lees. The wine has slightly more body than the 2008, and demonstrates the same apricot and grapefruit characters on the nose and palate. Excellent palate intensity. It already tastes stunning. The racy acid backbone ensures that Sauvignon drinkers enjoy a Chardonnay!!! Almost sold out!

Aromas and flavours of ripe pear, nectarine and banana confectionary with elegant mineral complexity. Elegant full-bodied wine with the luscious mouthfeel typical of the best examples of Pinot Gris. Made in a dry style. 13% alc/volume. 4g/L residual sugar. This is an elegant any time wine that can be matched superbly with chicken and fish but is equally at home enjoyed under a shady tree on a lazy sunny afternoon!

Vibrant lemon and lime zest with a touch of apple and light floral notes. Bottle age characters of honey and kerosene reinforce the stunning acidity and excellent palate intensity. This is the Riesling aficionado's wine! 12.2%alc/vol. Residual Sugar 6.8g/L.

Made in the Kabinett style, this wine demonstrates red apple, lemon and lime aromas and flavours with a subtle mineral finish. The early bottle age characters - honey and kerosene - have recently become evident increasing the complexity. 9.3%alc/vol; 22g/L Residual Sugar.

A unique blend of Merlot (70%) and Pinot Noir (30%) produced an elegant savoury wine. Made in a dry style with cranberry and raspberry on the nose and palate with subtle savoury minerality. This is not a fruit bomb! 10.7% alc/vol. 1g/L Residual Sugar. Only just bottled, but stunning balance!

And now for something completely different! Grapes sourced from our leased Sunnybrae vineyard on the slopes of the Akaroa Harbour have produced this stunning Spätlese style Riesling. It has crisp red apple, citrus and honey flavours. The racy acidity balances the fruit sugars (29g/L). The combination makes an elegant wine that, if slightly chilled, makes an appealing aperitif, but equally, if matched with a creamy blue cheese and crackers, makes a quiet hour after dinner just heavenly!

This wine offers aromas and flavours of red plum,cranberries, currants and cherries, with a tantalising spice and some savoury complexity. Some Old and new barrel maturation has introduced subtle smoky oak characters. Elegant silky tannins further enhance the experience.
